Welcome, we are

We are six young people passionate about STEAM, from the diverse and hardworking region of Coto Brus. Our goal is to make a tangible difference in our community, pursuing our own dreams in STEAM and inspiring others to follow in our footsteps.

 Our slogan represents the group’s vision for this competition. We wish to acquire the necessary knowledge in the STEAM area and maximize our teamwork and determination in designing the single seater with the highest speed on the track. 

  Our biggest inspiration to be part of this project is to keep paving the way for the next generations in our canton to take interest in STEAM projects. We want to gradually reduce the gap in knowledge in rural areas, and show that with effort, motivation, and discipline, we can reach new limits. 

The name of the group is inspired by the agile, fast and adaptable Fer-de-lance, which is very

commonly observed in the Coto Brus area. Like this snake, we seek to appropriate its grace and efficiency

to adapt to disturbing environments.
